Writing sexy romances for the new millennium!
My name is Tani Hanes, and I am a 51 year old substitute teacher. I’m from central California and am a recent transplant to New York City. The most important things to know about me are that I’m punctual, I love grammar and sushi, and I’m very intolerant of intolerance. The least important things to know about me are that I like to knit and I couldn’t spell “acoustic” for 40 years. I’ve wanted to write since I was ten, and I finally did it. If you want to write, don’t wait as long as I did, it’s pointless, and very frustrating!
I love to talk to almost anyone about almost anything, so hit me up. I know many people say this without meaning it, but I’m the exception; I’m cool, honest!
Diving Deep :
Learning to live can be difficult. Aileen Foster, aka Tinker Bell the Bitchtastic, aka Birdie, has come to London to live with Theo Shelley, who is one quarter of UK Crush, the most popular boyband in the world, while she prepares for her piano audition to Hamilton Conservatory in New York. She's new to England, to relationships, to love, to life, really. But she's trying.
Learning to Fly :
Tinker Bell’s life has changed so much in the past six months. She’s gone from being a poor music student to the girlfriend of a member of one of the most successful bands in the world. In Learning to Fly, the third in the UK Crush series, she travels to New York City with Teddy to compete in the most important piano audition of her life, to prestigious Hamilton Conservatory.
Before the Tempest :
Aileen Foster, poor, orphaned, musically gifted, never imagined her life could change so much, so fast, but getting a job as interpreter for boyband UK Crush pitched her headfirst into tumult and a glamorous life she never thought she’d have. Now, engaged to band member Theo Shelley, and having survived her audition to Hamilton Conservatory in Manhattan, she’s off to the Bahamas with the boys while they write their new album. Life has never been easy for her, but she’s trying.
Surviving the Hurricane :
Birdie has met the boys of UK Crush, fallen in love with Teddy, and become engaged to him in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge. She’s accompanied the boys to the Bahamas while they write their new album, and settled in to her new life as the significant other of a world famous rock star. Now, due to cataclysmic events beyond her control, she finds herself alone and adrift in a foreign land, living a life she no longer recognizes as her own.
I Cried to Dream Again :
Birdie’s life is nearly unrecognizable from what it was when she met the boys of UK Crush. What was once a fairy tale, a love story, a romance worthy of being a movie, has morphed into a nightmare, an unending stream of one trauma blending into another. Her dreams of being a concert pianist, a mother, even a happy person, have been crushed, possibly forever, by the appearance in her life of monsters she didn’t even realize existed in this world.
Thousands of Candles :
Birdie has come such a long way from the shy and introverted young woman who met Geth, Ronan, Matthew, and Teddy on that fateful day in Tokyo so long ago. She’s traveled the world, auditioned for music school, gotten engaged on a world-famous landmark, and been happier than she ever imagined she could be. She’s also endured more suffering and misery than she could have imagined existed in the world.
